Independent Baptists don't, which is what
Jackie is. Southern Baptists don't, which is what I am. Because of
the nature of our denominational structure each church can do its own thing, so
that means that some do but from the point of view of those in the mainstream of
the denomination it explicitly contradicts scripture.
We do however ordain women to other
positions of ministry. (Missionary, music, children,
etc)

And oh I know the scriptures for the
pro's and the con's trust me. lol Alot of denominations ordain women, but I
suspect in every single one of them you can find quite a few that very vocally
do not belive in it. lol
Most Pentecostal denominations
ordain women, I know the UPC does as well as the Assemblies of God. But if you
ever want to see a can of worms opened, visit a Apostolic discussion board when
the topic of lady preachers comes up. ROFL
Trust me, I've heard that one argued
about every way it can be argued I think. lol
