LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Actress/singer Hilary Duff may just be the
hardest working teenager in show business this side of Amanda Bynes. Duff,
who recently celebrated her 16th birthday, will star in the upcoming teen
music drama "Heart of Summer." Sean McNamara ("The Even Stevens Movie") is
set to direct.
"Heart of Summer" is about a small-town teenage girl who heads to Los
Angeles, where she spends the summer at a performing arts school, according
to The Hollywood Reporter.
Duff has scored hits on the big screen with "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" and
"Agent Cody Banks," and stars in her own television series "Lizzie McGuire."
She also has two hit albums under her belt, "Metamorphosis" and "So
Yesterday."
In addition to roles in the upcoming comedy "Cheaper by the Dozen" and "A
Cinderella Story," she recently signed a comedy pilot deal with CBS.
"Dozen" is due in theaters nationwide on Christmas Day.
