After an early career defined mostly by quirky roles and
off-screen romances, Johnny Depp made quite a splashy comeback this year. He
had major success at the box office with two huge hits: the swashbuckling
"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" and the thriller
"Once Upon a Time in Mexico," in which he stole the limelight from co-stars
Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. Not content to rest on his laurels, Depp has

Alive for 2003. The magazine's motivation? Depp is even more attractive since
settling down and becoming a father of two children with French actress-singer
Vanessa Paradis.
