Glover and a few of his ideological comrades, including commentator Julianne Malveaux, recently went to meet Castro wannabe Hugo Chavez, president of Venezuela.
In case you're wondering how Chavez views the United States, thanks to some military defectors we found out that the Venezuelan prez generously donated $1 million to al-Qaida shortly after Sept. 11, 2001.
The citizens of Venezuela would like to get rid of the guy, but he is reacting in typical Marxist fashion -- he recently seized the state-run oil industry.
He's also been busy bringing lots of Cubans into his country. The Center for Strategic and International Studies has classified the immigrants as "Cuban intelligence officers" who have been placed in strategic positions in Chavez's regime.
Venezuela happens to be one of the United States' chief sources of oil. Speculation has it that Castro could be attempting a de facto siege of Venezuela.
