My very first 'big' contest was the SWC 2 years ago. I didn't get to fly in the
contest, but I did get practice on Friday, take
lots of pictures, watch alot of flying, talk to alot of the nicest people (and many
pilots) from around the country, AND have great
time. I took my plane just in case I was able to enter, (which I wasn't) but one of
our local guys had a problem with his Tx (he
forgot it at home), and he was able to use my plane to fly in the contest.

So, bring all of your planes, all of your money (what you don't spend at Pasadena),
and good attitude to Arizona, because you have
never seen a flying field like the one CASL rents for this event.

BTW, let me know off-line if you're interested in carpooling and camping with me &
Marc. I even agreed to do the cooking.
