Reminds me of fishing, hunting, sailing, off-road racing, scuba diving,
skiing, etc.
Just about every "hobby" I have ever had could be shown to be ridiculously
expensive when broken down....ever figured out how much per pound that
brook trout you caught on a guided fly-fishing trip to, say, Flaming Gorge
costs?
Even if there is no money involved there is always lost time- and
opportunity
to do something else.
I like soaring. Worth it.
