You should let your views be known to your district Soaring Contest Board.
The board members and their addresses are listed in the Focus on
Competition section in the back of Model Aviation. Unfortunately, email
addresses are not listed so you will have to use snail mail unless you
happen to know their email addresses. I don't get many comments on rules
change proposals from members in my district BEFORE the vote is taken.
Just after the results are announced. :-)

,,,,,,,,,,Thought I'd respond
here. I also dont receive much input on rule changes!
I'm the Rep. for the soaring contest board for district 6. Illinois,Indiana,
Kentucky, Missouri. If you have input now about RES, I believe it would help
me vote one way or another. If you have changes or add ons, then the chairman
of the soaring contest board ( Gene Shelkey of PA.) has to submit those to
AMA for the final vote. I have my own opinion of the event , which I like the
event, and think it needs some defining rules , but I usually vote with the
majority and also whats best for the improved involvement of soaring. SO,
keep it simple! Richard Chicago
