Remember that melting wires in the motor usually means that it is being stalled or pulled down so slow that the current is way too high.
First, make sure that there is enough line on the drum to go to the turnaround and back with just a little to fix line breaks. This will reduce the effective drum diameter and let the motor spin. It will have more ability to pull hard without stalling and still will spin fast for a good zoom. The drum should not be full of line. The other advantage is that both the motors and batteries will last much longer. michael N6CHV AMA 77292 On 3/28/06, Allan/Tara <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I'm reinstalling "Real Balls" on all of our club winches and I would like to > get a definitive answer as to how to advance/retard the timing on them.
