-You may still want to watch out for the known weaknesses in the stab mount stud and possibly the pylon.- Hello Quacker...
Stab stud was fixed a bunch of models back and the broken pylon has not happened to anyone else's that I know of, and plenty of guys have a lot of time on their Supras, so if there were a weakness there it should be showing some signs by now. Check with Barry and let us know his comments on the above...and more. The model is under constant scrutiny from a design point by JW, TK, BK, DrD and of course Vladimir....not because someone is making millions and millions of dollars from the 2 or 300 sold :) but because those guys and us want the design to continue to develop. You forgot to mention that the conditions were blowing winds and some of the best tow men to show up on that field. JW and the others now have samples to see where layup and spar improvements can be made for F3J use. The Supra is a crazy great plane to fly, I spent the weekend with the -'world's heaviest carbon supra' - and we had hot calm low top thermals, yet had no trouble putting in consecutive 10's never getting higher than about 200'. Very nimble and clean, it gives the pilot the ability to correct minor mistakes and decisions for extra time...and mine is the -heaviest Supra in the world-. :-) Gordy -- Gordysoar ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gordysoar's Profile: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=12801 View this thread: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=523431 RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
