Hi Jeff and All,

I have three 4-cell Eneloop AA size receiver packs in service in F3B/F3J
models and an 8-cell pack in my Graupner/JR MX22 transmitter.

I have no information on their internal resistance but they live up to all
their manufacturer's performance claims.

Capacity, when charged at 250 mA, exceeded the specified 1900 mAh minimum on
the first charge and was approximately 2000 mAh after cycling a further two
times.

When charged at 700 mA capacity is only a little less.

There was almost no variation in these figures for my four packs.

By the way, I judged capacity by discharging to 1 V/cell at 300 mA. I am not
sure if this is the standard technique but I think it gives a good
indication.

When fully charged and stored for one month capacity dropped by only 5%. I
tested this on one pack only.

I have not had any other AA NiMH packs that performed nearly as well. In
fact I had decided to go back to NiCd for Rx and Tx use until I tried the
Eneloop cells.

At my local camera shop they are no more expensive than other high capacity
AA NiMH cells, and are cheaper than many.

They don't have solder tabs, but I have had no trouble making up packs so I
don't see this as a problem.

Subject: [RCSE] New sanyo batteries

Anyone using the new sanyo eneloop batteries?
The sanyo site says they have reduced internal resistence, but they
don't give numbers.

Just sales info.
