Tord said cyanoacrylate is
> Fuel-proof...
My personal experience is that this ain't so, at least not all the time.
I'm told that Pacer Zap (the good stuff) isn't dissolved by fuel. But I
know not to trust the cheap stuff in the silver and (purple/yellow/brown)
bottles to be fuelproof. I can't name a brand because it seems like every
hobby store I go to has their own name on the bottles - some sort of deal
with the manufacturer, kind of like personalized pencils I guess. A leak
in the fuel tank of my 1/2A Nostalgia Gas FF ship turned all the glue
joints around it into goo.
I'm now sold on Zap and its brand name brethren. It makes better joints,
seems to be easier to work with, and I know if I buy a big bottle it won't
go bad if I leave it for a while. Anything that can help me stave off a
Rapid Unplanned Disassembly Maneuver is worth the few extra cents.
