For HLGs, Ollie's suggestion will work, but is really overkill. If the wing is made with the required strength in each half, very little is necessary to join them. Fred Mallet's Epsilon (11oz) joined the two pieces by gluing the foam together with 5 minute epoxy or carpenters glue, and then taping the joint with hinge tape (Scotch 600). THAT'S IT! I've also used a 3/4" strip of 1.4 oz glass. Sub 8 oz HLG don't need much. John Kappus (and I throw hard) One layer of 2.9 ounce unidirectional carbon 2 inches wide all the way around with the fibers oriented spanwise should do it for the HLG. Two layers, 1.5 and 2.5 inches wide will handle the 2-meter wing. Regards, Ollie >I am glassing and bagging foam wings for 2 meter and HLG's. For both, >the wings will be one piece.
