I'm building a Salto (Viking fuz, glass wings by Del Brengmann, etc) and
I want to glass bag the tails myself. Since they're plugin parts, I need
to install joiner tubes.

What is the best way to do this?

I see potential problems with alignment, damage to the cores (boy, is
that stuff sensitive to the slightest touch!) and almost everything. How
ought I handle this?
The least difficult way I can think of would be to glass & bag one side
so I at least have something reasonably rigid, carve out the foam to
allow fitting the pair of small sparlets with the joiner tubes attached,
spackle over the tops, sand carefully and bag the top. That approach
worries me a bit about aligning the tubes correctly.
Another approach that seems plausible would be to add the root ribs,
sparlets and tubes and treat it as a one piece small wing, then cut in
two after glassing. At least that way everything ought to be aligned!

Any good advice ?
