That is very effective at getting line speed.
But that is also the problem. The towers are linear to the attached
devices. If any failure occurs the devices or line is launched straight at
one of the towers. What kind of damage will a hand tow reel do when it
hits somebody in the head? I'm no engineer but about 150lbs force acting
against a 1lb reel.
Seems that the knee jerk reaction did not contemplate other issues or dangers.
Again 2 towers means the line is between the towers, unless done
improperly. Any failures or line breaks and the debris flies past in
between the towers. I speak from experience.
