Well, yes it does still work proportionally.

I see.  I just never had a problem with that on the planes I using spolieron on.  I 
always had very good roll control.  I suppose on the 8U I could just add in a 1 
directional mix that would move the ailerons more downward when the spoilerons were 
activated, but I haven't had the need for it.
