LOFT also uses a golf cart and we have used a three wheeler in the past,
much less hassles thatn a retriever.  i realize that there are good ret. set
ups, but for the common guy, anyone can drive a golf cart.

I used to attend a contest where they used mopeds to retrieve. Worked
well, and a lot of fun to do. I should think carts would work almost as
well, and would be safer.
