For those of you who are using Windows ME, it has a nice "FEATURE" that will not allow the Virus checkers to be repaired or re-installed. If you are using Norton, go to their website and get the utility to fix Windows ME and allow the re-installation of Norton. Follow the instructions carefully. Last time I had to use it, it ran in the DOS mode only. Next, get rid of Windows ME.
I still think Norton is the best. It has saved my Windows 2000 and NT machines when the Microsoft and McAfee stuff on the Server passed the virus right to me.
