Hey all,
Just thinking what my first project will be after I get the Highlander
put together and the Terminator looks like a real possibility, as it is well
within my budget after I buy the radio gear, and my modeling skills (ok I
guess). I will consider using it off an upstart, but I'd really like to
build it as a DLG -- is DLG compatible with the Terminator design concept --
the ability to throw $30 - $50 worth of materials to create a great flying
glider? I'd really rather not kill my body learning javelin when DLG is
clearly better for body and launch height - heck, I even did it a few times
with my SkyRider WalMart glider (that is, until the wing joint came undone
from the stress) -- and clearly the wave of the future and present.

Denny, I do not expect you to respond and give away your secrets here.
However, anyone else - what things would I need to do to make a Terminator
glider DLG worthy? I assume the fuse needs to be stiffer - is this possible
with Balsa, Epoxy and microballoons, or only with composite? How about the
polyhedral joint or even the fuse-wing joint?

Thanks,
Stuart
