Marc is correct, the contributions of mixing Jerry Shape's and Tom Kallevang's contest formulas together produce this kind of contest, and they are the most satisfying to compete in. Marc mentions the contest experience yesterday, but on Saturday it was the same thing, except no pilot obtained the max time in the final round(s). The pilots flying the longest using soaring skills was the ticket. I did pretty good last weekend and my landings were really sub-par of my normal output. It was all about flying.
