Hmm... you could try...

Thicker stabs help a bit... some used slightly smaller "lifting" or
cambered stabs. Eliminate the hardwood carrier that holds the brass
wing tube in place. Just leave the bay open and use a mix of epoxy
and milled glass. That was the cause of death for one of my 900s.
Carbon on the spars is a must, maybe wrap the spar box with kevlar
thread or tow. Unbalance the rudder. Lengthen the fuse slightly.
Fully sheet the wing top surface at least on the center panel, tips
may not be necessary. Lengthen the spoilers another bay and use
small servos to direct-drive the spoilers. Use a glass fuse if you
can find one, it saves a bunch of weight. If you can't use a glass
fuse, glass the wood one with 1.5 oz cloth from the wing joiner
forward... maybe lighter cloth from there back. A little carbon
inside the plywood at the skinny part of the tailboom may save your
bacon on a dork too. Sagittas love to crack just ahead of the fin.

Lots of options... Sagittas fly pretty well no matter what you do to
them. Make sure if you're going to fly it competitively in RES class
that you put some ballast tubes in the wing roots or make up ballast
slugs for the fuse.

Good luck with whatever you choose.
