Another way might be to make a way to subscribe that is write only.
Then just read the RCSE on a web based forum like
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
Of course the above idea would require a change in the listserve software
which is probably unlikely.
Other real world possibilities...
Get a free web based email account like yahoo just for RCSE use and
subscribe in non-digest and take it all. Log in and use that web based
email when you feel like RCSE.
Or... subscribe non-digest and set up some filters in your email software
and route all the RCSE messages into their own folder and read them when
you have time. This is what I do with Eudora.
