Just got back from Ft. Wayne, what a fun contest! (of course there still is tomorrow, but I can't be there for that one)

What should be a bit amazing is the Sailaire in the top 5, Bill Friend did some marvelous flying.

There was some tight flying going on today, the scoreboard got jumbled several times when groups did not max. I was in the top group at one time when the winning score was 5:21 in a 12 minute task, and I was down in 4:18 or some short thing like that. Just a bad sink cycle, but an exciting round. I think Richard successfully flew through power lines he was so low getting back to the field.

In other rounds, the air was "all you could eat". big air... all the way to pluto.

The LOFT guys have this MoM format down, the scoring was quick so the contest was constantly flowing, solid winches with generator back up on the batteries. They allow model changing, I like that option but didn't use it today, Karl did... and made a good change. They had a sportsman class, and those guys were having fun. They had a grill out, and were doing some hot dogs... everybody was having fun... heck it was a good time.

I need to get to sleep, but I'll put some pictures online tomorrow and try to write some more.

Thanks to LOFT for another successful OVSS contest,
Jim

Denny,

What amazes me is there are no Icons in the Top 5 of either list. Where was
JB and JS with there Evil Icons?

See Ya,
