Most people use the standard 1/2" x 25' bungee, ($38.00 shipped with connectors installed.) This will take the average open class plane to over 100ft. If you tape a hook on 2" forward of the normal location, you can catapult the plane to higher launches. I also have very short catapult bungees for landing practice. These are 15ft. of unlimited class rubber with connectors. ($28.00 shipped) These also can be used with or without line. They are slightly less powerful than the 1/2" rubber and also have less duration of pull. The resulting launch is 50 to 100' depending on the weight of the plane. These are good for shooting landings, it only takes about 30 paces to launch the plane, so you don't spend much time chasing down the gear.
