The first few Orginal "Great Pumpkin Flys" (tm) We did carzy things like run 5 to 6 rounds of Triathalon, with 1 winch and no reteriver. Or we Ran every Task, that we could, that was in the AMA rule book during one contest.. How about the thing That Dave South and I did, where you had to "Roll Your Own" ...Task time using a big ol pare if foam filled Dice.. The Limbo task was sorta kool, Last Down is kool, or how about the Frank Dies thing, 3 or 4 for (X)time and where if you flew 1 second over your target time, you had to start all over...
Why doesn't precision mean using the "Precision Table" in the rule book... Aside from the Nats, the Soar Fred, and the RMSA F3J Winch contest, and some OVSS contests, where has the FUN gone.. Of course we did not have the internet back then, maybe a BBS if we were lucky.. I fondly remember the days, that so many deny ever existed, just cause it could not have happened that way...
