that flight with all sorts of extra activity, like those offered by the
full blown Sky Melody would really add to the fun!"

??? Scale sailplane guys fly quite often. Here in Monticello, land of the JR Aerotow,
we fly every weekend. And when daylight savings time starts, at least 3-4 evenings a
week as well. The California guys get together at least a couple times a month on a
state wide level and more often then that at their local club fields. There are
pockets of scale guys all over the US getting together to have fun and fly. I know the
other JD can confirm that.

Competition is very fun and challenging and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon, but
once you fly a 6-meter, or bigger, scale bird you will be hooked. I love doing both
and have spent way more money on both kinds of planes then I care to admit.

I really don't understand why people have the attitude that you can only enjoy one
type of RC. I fly EVERY type of RC model (helis included). I also race RC cars, boats
(power and sail) and enjoy it ALL. I also love helping other peolpe enjoy modeling and
am lucky enough to make it my career. Don't know what kind of Elitist that makes me,
I'm just enjoying it all.

No ill feelings to anyone, just stating my concern over statements like the one above.
