Actually Darwin... I do know Gordy. I had the pleasure of having him time for me on my very last round of 2M on day one of Visalia last year. Although I did get kicked, and shaken during the flight, he did help me to get my time when I thought the lift had abandoned me and my Saggita 600. I do understand that it is somewhat of a sport to take shots at Gordy, but some of the comments are really a little over the top.

Common Justin, you just haven't met Gordy yet. I'll personally introduce you
to him at Visalia. Then, you will be on the bashing wagon too. Gordy is
bashed because everybody LIKES Gordy.

Gordy wouldn't be abused nearly as much if Karlton and Sal were still active
on the list. Until someone else steps forward through a conspicuous lack of
sophistication Gordy is just gonna have to be it.

Gordy is the Icon, the downwind turn, the Skeeter, the skeg and contest
landings of soaring. Each is controversial, as is Gordy. Doesn't mean he
isn't a nice guy, just means it is our RCSE responsibility to keep him on
his toes!!!

Guys,

All of the Gordy bashing is getting quite old...
If you don't like Gordy that's fine, but running a campaign to demean and
discredit him like a presidential race (and Gordy is the opposing party)
is
not serving anyone's best interest. I can understand some jabs at each
other from time to time, but the harsh and sometimes downright vitriolic
attitudes are truly uncalled for. Lets try to be a little higher quality
citizen and get ourselves out of the trenches.
