For me that is, but you have to keep that in the context of warm, calm air, easy landing tasks and great pilots flying amazing technology.

John Diniz of Horizon is hot! He's been a landing machine is way up on the first page, and guys that's a BIG deal considering nearly 250 flying.

I started with a sweet first flight a dead center landing, but too hot and down wind which left me on my back (my plane too:-(.

The next two flight were about the same, center hits but bounce or slipped outside the line.  Times were off by 2secs, which by the first round put me at about 143rd. Fourth round I managed to get my brain and thumb together and I dropped in for a 15 (landing box is 15,10, 25,10,15) and I ended the day at 61.  While I heard the comment from a Visalia newbie out of WV that this is almost too easy cuz everything is up, some of the best thumbs in the sport ended up stuffed with lost minutes and zero landings...which let me sneak up a bit :-)

My flip over first landing was Russ Young of Seattle's fault! He is a past Visalia winner and he started the day with a center punched flip over and I thought if its good enough for him, I could do it too!

Larry Jolly is on top, deadly in the landing circle, flying his Extreme.  Craig Greening is flying tough and so is JW and Ben and well about 60 other guys :-)

Craig Allen is having the Visalia of his dreams, sitting at 21rst, flying a V tail Sharon...tied with Martin F.  Craig was lucky to have thought out his adventure a few months in advance, chosing maybe the best caller/timer in the hobby....(yep its me :-).  But in fact he's flying the stick and I'm just confirming his decisions and providing time.  I am very proud to be part of his success.

There's no way I could possibly tell you the who's who list or the what is all going on during the day or the nites.  But there have been a few hundred limbos thru the frequency impound shelter by various crazies tonite :-)  Oh yeah and Rocket's red glare too!  Arthur lit of rockets almost as big as most our waists, without warning and thru gaggles of DHLGs floating around...scares the heck out of us, but it is sooo cool.

Pretty weather, pretty sailplanes, pretty women and pretty darn good BBQ too...you'll be eating your hearts out when you see this years Fall Festival T shirt on me :)

Time for bed, I'm tired from flying Muncie and Visalia today.  Do I get around or what ? :-)
