Reminds me of '02 when i E.D.'d the Nats, and we went to the landing circle instead of the long tradition of the runway-tape (which at the time was itself a non-conforming landing task). We had the 4" disk at the center of the circle. In one contest there was (count 'em) 1 100-point landing. Oh, how they howled (but all in good-natured fun)! But, the best pilots were still up there on top...
It was kind of fun to award the 1 100 point landing pilot with the disk he did it on.
