Mike:
the only thing about the 14 mz, reviewed in an American mag recently,
that peeked my interest was 8 servo wing sailplane configuration,
complete with independent tiperons. They had a screen shot of one of
the templates. Looked cool. The rest is overpriced useless bling bling.

Evo schmeevo, I have used one, overrated, under featured, global mixers
and dual rates, what? Feels like a K Mart toy trans. in your hands.

The 9303 needs to be looked at. It has addressed some key sailplane
specific mixes, while sacrificing some in other not sailplane specific
areas. When you switch to power aircraft mode, certain other mixes
appear in lieu of sailplane programming. They did a good job with what
they had and kept it at a reasonable price. It also has flash memory.
And very easy to program, once you realize the manual has some erroneous
info, omissions, Horizon has updates on the web site :-) Interesting,
Graupner did their own thing with the 9X and added channels in lieu of
some programming.
I have a non technical review on my website if you're interested.
Under tech tips.
