I hope they have improved on the X frame with side rail design they had in
my 73 Vette. It cost me three toes on my left foot. I now drive a Mercedes
retractable hardtop with a little better safety design. Most of my planes
won't fit in it but I can't afford risk any more toes on cheep designs.

George,
JB is not the only one that would know this-I also have 2002 Vette,
and all the '97--'04 Vettes have balsa wood floor pans. They use
fiberglass sandwich istead of the CF.
The best part of the '97--'02 is that I can get 3-5 sailplanes in the
back of my coupe, alomg with a winch, battery, turnaround and
everything else I need for a day of flying. With a little help from
the Chicago crew to bring my easy-up, I,ve had enough in there for a
week at the NATS, and hope to do it again this year.
