Right. I have absolutely no doubts that they are good. A plastic case full of foam rubber that costs over $100 had jolly well better be good.

$67.50 is HARDLY more than $100.

I got the price from the Pelican web page for a case very similar in size to the aluminum cases we've been discussing. Actually it was $107, but I rounded it down.

Plus to call a Pelican case a "plastic case" is like calling a Ferrari a "car".

Alas, a Ferrari is not a boat, motorcycle or toaster oven. A Ferrari is a *CAR*, 4 wheels, 2 doors, steering wheel, windows, etc. Some people think they are a very nice car. I think they are a very nice car. I wish someone would give me one. I would sell it and then I could afford a Pelican case. ;-)

I have a $2,300 TX, so the $67 doesn't really seem like TOO much to protect it.

I have two Tx that together aren't worth but about half of your Tx. It seems reasonable that my case should be a fraction of your case.

But if the extra $30 is TOO much, then I get it. I have a case that I can throw across the parking lot, run over and then toss it the ocean and me TX will be safe.

.......OK, I gotta ask. How often do you fling your $2300 Tx in the $67 case across parking lots, run over them (with the Ferrari?), and then toss them in the ocean. Sheiiish, it would be easier on your nerves if you simply learned energy management and mastered landing without a skeg (notice how I cleverly bring up another sailplane list flame topic!)

Clearly NOT worth $67 when for $40 I can buy something that will not protect my case nearly as well. I can use that $37 t pay for repairs!!!!

And what exactly can you replace on a $2300 Tx for $37?

What am I missing here???

The punch line. ====> ;-)

Bill
