Xencor and CSL Limited said they are in a technology license agreement, which will provide CSL access ot its technology, for use with CSL's monoclonal antibodies. Financial details of the license were not disclosed, however, the companies said that Xencor will receive an upfront payment plus preclinical, clinical, regulatory and sales milestone payments, as well as royalties on product sales. iRise Launches Loyalty Program ---- El Segundo-based enterprise visualization software developer iRise is looking to its most loyal users to spread the word about the company's software, which is used for prototyping and visualizing enterprise apps, by giving those users free, lifetime, personal access to the company's software. According to iRise, the new iRise for Life program will give certified iRise users lifetime, personal access to its tools, as well as "test-drive" licenses for their employer. The company said that users can qualify for the program by completing a two-day certification course, available both online and in-person. iRise offers up its software to corporations to help them visualize and develop their enterprise applications. EDF Renewable Energy Launches New Project In Texas ---- San Diego-based renewable energy project developer EDF Renewable Energy said Tuesday that it has exercised an option to acquire the remaining, 49 percent interest in its Spinning Spur II Wind Project, based in Texas. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. EDF said it acquired the rest of the project from Cielo Wind Power, LP, giving it 100 percent ownership in the wind power project. EDF Renewable Energy said the project is expected to be operational by mid-summer 2014; the project is its third in Texas. EDF has a number of wind projects in Texas, including one which is backed by Google. Snapchat Hit By Spam Attack ---- Snapchat, the hot Venice-based startup which lets users send self-destructing photos to each other, has been hit by a widespread spam attack, the firm said Tuesday morning.
