Ziptask Takes On Project Outsourcing
----
Can you outsource your outsourcing? Anaheim-based Ziptask said today
that it has launched a new, online platform which helps offload the
management of freelancers and outsourcing, helping businesses via an
online, dedicated virtual project manager. According to Ziptask, the
firm's online, cloud-based platform offers up project managers to
liason with freelancers, helping to manage hiring of those
freelancers, interviews, overseeing the work of those freelancers, as
well as delivery of product. The startup--led by Shawn Livermore--said
its experts are aiming at helping oversee projects in the ares of IT,
application and web development, e-commerce and design, and other
areas.

Cornerstone OnDemand Backs Disaster Relief Readiness Effort

Santa Monica-based talent and human resources management software
developer Cornerstone OnDemand said today that its non-profit arm, the
Cornerstone OnDemand Foundation, has launched a new effort called

ecoATM Hits One Million Recycled Electronic Devices
----
San Diego-based ecoATM, the startup led by Tom Tullie which develops
kiosks for recycling used mobile phones, MP3 players, and tablets,
reported yesterday that it has now recycled more than one million
electronic devices. EcoATM develops self serve kiosks which pay users
cash when they trade in their electronic devices. The firm was part of
the EvoNexus incubator, and is venture backed by Claremont Creek
Ventures, Coinstar, and Tao Venture Capital Partners.

Report: Hulu Hires Guggenheim Partners To Sell Company
----
A report Wednesday afternoon says that Los Angeles-based streaming
media site Hulu has hired investment banking firm Guggenheim Partners,
to advise the firm on a sale. The report from Reuters, citing three
sources with knowledge of the matter, said there's an ongoing auction
process for Hulu. Guggenheim is the same firm that attempted to sell
Hulu in 2011. Guggenheim is the same firm which recently hired Ross
Levinsohn to head up its Guggenheim Digital Media unit, and which is
potentially a bidder on Hulu.

Music Mastermind Nabs $11.3M As It Launches Music Creation App
----
Calabasas-based Music Mastermind, the interactive entertainment firm
headed by Matt Serletic, has raised $11.3M, as it has inked a deal
with mobile games publisher Chillingo to publish a new music creation
game called Zya. Music Mastermind said the funding came from Intel
Capital and Liberty Global. Music Mastermind's new Zya music creation
game allows users to create songs, mash up hits, and create what the
firm says is "studio-quality" music.  Chillingo is a unit of
Electronic Arts (EA).

X1 Discovery Extends Channel Efforts
----
Pasadena-based X1 Discovery, the Idealab-backed developer of
enterprise search and electronic discovery software, said Wednesday
that it has added Ingram Micro as a distributor. X1 said that its
products are now available through DistiNow, part of Ingram Micro's
Advanced Computing Division. X1's software is ued by enterprises for
electronic discovery and enterprise search; the software index and
searches a wide range of data within companies, including PowerPoint
files, webmail, Microsoft Exchange, and what the firm says are over
500 application and file types. X1 Discovery has recently been
expanding its enterprise ambitions, having been spun out from
consumer-focused X1 back in 2011. X1 Discovery says it now has over
300,000 end-users.

Fullscreen Taps CAA Vet As Exec
----
Culver City-based independent YouTube network Fullscreen has tapped a
CAA veteran as its new Head of Talent, the firm said Wednesday.
Fullscreen--which is led by former Googler George Strompolos--said it
has named Larry Shapiro to the new position. Shapiro will manage
Fullscreen's talent department. Former Head of Talent Sami Kreigstein
moves to VP of Talent Integration. Shapiro was previously at agent at
the Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Fullscreen said Shapiro established
the CAA's video game department, working with game designers such as
Will Wright, Lorne Lanning and John Carmack. He also served at FOurth
Wall STudios, Xmobb,  Oddworld Inhabitants, Palomar Pictures and
Propaganda Films.

Oversee.net's Latest: AirportParking.com
----
Los Angeles-based Oversee.net has launched another, consumer facing
website--this one aimed at airport parking. The firm said today that
its website, AirportParking.com, allows consumers to find and compare
rates on airport parking, see consumer reviews, and book reservations
and gain discounted rates on those airport parking spots. The site is
one of the latest online consumer travel businesses started by
Oversee.net, which also runs sites such as LowFares.com (airline
tickets). The new site is headed by Raj Beri, General Manager of
AirportParking.com. Oversee has both a domain name monetization and
consumer lead generation business.

Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Targets Publishers With Directory Technology
----
Los Angeles-based Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp., the online
business credit company headed by serial tech entrepreneur Jeff
Stibel, is looking to make its technology avialable to traditional
publishers looking to go online, the firm said last week. The company
said it has launched the Credibility Review Business Marketplace,
technology which can be used by publishers to launch and publish their
