----
Sophia Amoruso, the CEO and founder of Los Angeles-based Nasty Gal, has
stepped down from the CEO post at the fashion e-commerce firm, but will
remain as Executive Chairman at the company, Nasty Gal said Monday. Amoruso
is being replaced by current Nasty Gal executive Sherree Waterson in the
CEO position. Amoruso, in a blog post, said she had been thinking about the
change for two years, because she was not sure if the "CEO role is one that
I want". Amoruso said the change will "give me the freedom to feel that I'm

Activision, Tencent Tie On Call of Duty Launch In China
----
Santa Monica-based Activision and Chinese game maker Tencent said Monday
that the two are launching the popular Activision title Call of Duty into
China, releasing the game as a free-to-play -- and also adapting the game
to Chinese customs. Activision said it is looking to expand its series into
the world's largest gaming market by specifically tailoring the experience
for the Chinese market. In addition to new free-to-play model, the new game
also apparently tones down violence and removes the use of zombies, due to
Chinese sensitivities. The launch should prove very interesting for
Activision, whose Call of Duty title spawned a clone by the Chinese
People's Liberation Army called "Glorious Mission" several years ago.
