The investment was led by TI Capital, according to the company. InstaBrand is led by Eric Dahan, and targets the fashion, lifestyle, film and entertainment, automotive, technology and food industries. As part of the funding, the company said it has added Randall Cox (Relativity Digital) and Brian Norgard (Tinder, Adly) to its advisory board. http://www.socaltech.com/intelligence/index.php?action=showdeal&id=62470 PCM Completes En Pointe Technologies Sales Buy ---- El Segundo-based PCM said late Wednesday that it has completed its acquisition of Gardena-based En Pointe Technologies Sale, an independent Microsoft IT solution provider. The asset purchase deal was worth $15M in cash, plus also includes unspecified earnout. PCM said the deal will "significantly" enhance its relationship with key vendors, and also help it scale its business. Ambry Genetics Buys Progeny Software ---- Aliso Viejo-based Ambry Genetics has acquired Progeny Software, a developer of software to manage genetic data. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Ambry said it will integrate Progeny's software into its own, laboratory management systems. Progeny becomes a subsidiary of Ambry, and continues to be led by CEo Michael Brammer. Ambry is led by Charles Dunlop. Paragon Language Services Buys In Every Language ---- Los Angeles-based Paragon Language Services, a provider of translation service, said Wednesday that it has acquired Every Language, a Washington, DC-based provider of language translation services for the medical device and life sciences market. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Paragon said the acquisition will help bolster ist life sciences business and add a number of small and mid-sized medical device makers as clients. GoDaddy Surges In IPO ---- GoDaddy surged in its IPO Wednesday on the NYSE as GDDY, opening and closing at $26.15, above the $20 per share pricing for the company's stock set on Tuesday night. The domain name registration, hosting, and Internet services provider--which has major operations in Los Angeles at MediaTemple--traded as high as $26.84 during the day, and then settled back down to $26.15 at the close of the market. MarketShare Buys DataSong ---- Los Angeles-based marketing analytics software developer MarketShare said this morning that it has acquired DataSong, a San Francisco-based cross channel analytics technology company. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. MarketShare says it adds 50 employees as part of the acquisition, and that DataSong CEO John Wallace becomes the company's Chief Growth Officer. MarketShare says it now has 450 employees, spread across nine offices. MarketShare is led by Jon Vein. YapStone Gets $60M In Debt Funding ---- YapStone, which develops web and mobile payment technology, and also maintains an office at ROC in Santa Monica, has closed on $60M in debt financing, the company said this week. The funding was split between $40M in a senior credit facility from Comerica Bank, and $20M in subordinated debt from Bregal Sagemount. Terms on the two debt facilities were not announced. YapStone provides its electronic payment technology for such companies as HomeAway and VRBO.
