EAT Club helps companies with in-office lunch delivery, letting office managers pick which lunches, snacks, delivery timing, and more for in-office lunch service. Employees are allowed to pick exactly what meals they want from local restaurants, as well as EAT Club's own kitchens, either via a mobile ordering system or online. EAT Club said it currently provides its services to such companies as Netflix, Tesla, and Cisco. A part of the expansion to Los Angeles, EAT Club said it has named Larry Sales--former VP of Cooking.com--as its LA General Manager. http://www.socaltech.com/eat_club_expands_to_la/s-0061534.html Report: Snapchat Only Had $3M In Revenues Between January and November of 2014 ---- Venice-based instant messaging startup Snapchat, arguably Southern California's highest visibility "unicorn" startups, had a mere $3M in revenues between January and November of 2014, according to leaked documents published on Gawker. According to documents posted by the online publication, Snapchat lost $128M in the period, on only $3M in revenues. Snapchat was most recently reported to have a valuation north of $16 billion. http://www.socaltech.com/report_snapchat_revenue/s-0061561.html PneuDraulics Acquired By TransDigm For $325M ---- Rancho Cucamonga-based PneuDraulics, a manufacturer of highly engineered, pneumatic and hydralic components for the aerospace industry, has been acquired for $325M in cash by Cleveland-based TransDigm Group Incorporated. According to the companies, PenuDraulics employs approximately 275 people. The deal had been announced in July. TransDigm is a designer, producer, and supplier of aircraft components, both for the commercial and military aircraft market. Kyriba: More Than 1,000 Clients Worldwide ---- San Diego-based Kyriba, the venture-backed company which develops cloud-based software for treasury management, reported Wednesday that it now has more than 1,000 clients worldwide, with more than 45,000 users. Kyriba said that it added nearly 100 new clients in the first half of the year. The startup, led by Jean-Luc Robert, is venture backed by such investors as HSBC, BRED Banque Populaire, Daher Capital, Iris Capital and Upfront Ventures. The company's software is used by multi-national companies to manage their cash and risk management efforts. Kyriba also said it now has more than 400 employees. Dun & Bradstreet, Pepperdine Link on Entrepreneurship Effort ---- Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management and Dun & Bradstreet said this morning that they are launching a new partnership to bolster entrepreneurship and the emerging business community. According to the two, Graziadio Business School will work with Dun & Bradstreet to conduct economic research and develop specialized curriculum focused on the needs and success metrics of entrepreneurs. The collaboration includes paid internships at Dun & Bradstreet's corporate headquarters in Malibu, specialized executive education, and more, and will see Dun & Bradstreet executives serving as guest lecturers at Pepperdine. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Ciphrex Bolsters Advisory Board ---- San Diego-based cryptocurrency startup Ciphrex has added a new member to its board of advisors, the company said yesterday. Ciphrex said it has added Eliezer Lombrozo, formerly a systems design engineer at IBM, to its Board of Advisors. The company said Lombrozo has been involved in such areas as designing automated manufacturing plants and product distribution centers in the consumer electronics space. Ciphrex develops bitcoin wallet software, and is backed by $500K in funding it received in January. Ring Finds $28M For Smart Doorbell ---- Los Angeles-based Ring, the smart doorbell startup led by Jamie Siminoff, said today that it has raised $28M in a new funding round. The new funding came from Richard Branson, Shea Ventures, American Family Insurance, True Ventures, and Upfront Ventures, along with other, un-named angels.
