Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. INRIX said that ParkMe will remain in Santa Monica, and that it will continue to offer ParkMe's services. INRIX said the buy will help it expand the depth of parking serviecs it offers to such automotive companies as Audi, BMW, and Lexus. INRIX will be hiring all of ParkMe's existing staff, and have appointed Friedman and Israel to executive positions at the company. ParkMe was venture backed by Angeleno Group, Fontinalis Partners and IDG Ventures. Yardi Launches New Senior Living Software ---- Santa Barbara-based property management software developer Yardi said this morning that it has released a new software product, called RentCafe Senior Living. The new software provides an online portal, which allows residents and other responsible parties to manage payments, review resident health and wellness information, communicate with care providers, and more. Pricing on the new software was not announced. Yardi said the new software makes senior living communities more attractive to prospective residents and their families. ADP Setting Up Technology Center In Pasadena With 350 Employees ---- Human resources outsourcing provider ADP is launching a new location in Pasadena, looking to tap into the wealth of technical talent in the area. According to ADP, a new Innovation Center on Lake Avenue will bring 350 employees to the city, giving the company a West Coast location for its international business. The company says it specifically is looking to capitalize on the existing tech business community in Pasadena and the surrounding Los Angeles area, along with local schools like Caltech, The Art Center College of Design and Pasadena City College. Along with space for its employees, ADP said that it will offer up dedicated space for community events and meetups. Size of the funding was not announced. The funding came from Composite Capital Partners, Kernal Capital Inc., KLab Ventures, Tallwave Capital along with angels Peter L. Corsell (Gridpoint), Ron Garret (Spark Innovations), and Dale Okuno (EZ Data). Chalk Digital is led by Craig Hagopian. Chalk's ad technology allows local businesses to create their own, self-serve mobile ads, which are tied to a user's location and serve up within other, smart phone applications. http://www.socaltech.com/chalk_digital_gets_seedy/s-0061850.html The Black Tux Finds $25M For Online Tuxedo Rentals ---- Santa Monica-based The Black Tux, which provides online tuxedo and formalwear rentals, has raised $25M in a Series B funding. The funding was led by Stripes Group, and also included First Round Capital and Menlo Ventures. According to the company, the funds go to scaling out its infrastructure and to widen its customer base, along with growing its team. The company says it plans to double its staff in the next year. The startup, founded by Andrew BLackmon and Patric Coyne, specifically targets wedding party rentals. The company--which was started in Camarillo, and continues to have a production office in the city--said the funding came from Northbridge Venture Partners, and also included Hong Kong-based Yung's Enterprise. The size of the investment was not announced. Cool Planet's other investors include BP, Google Ventures, the Constellation division of Exelon, and Energy Technology Ventures.
