The company--which launched a pilot program in Santa Monica in August--said it now is offering up its service in Beverly Hills, Beverlywood, Brentwood, Century City, Culver City, Mar Vista, Marina del Rey, Pacific Palisades, Palms, Playa Vista, Playa del Rey, Santa Monica, Venice, West LA, Westchester and Westwood. The startup, led by Andrew Davis, let users request a car wash from their mobile app, anywhere within Squeegy's service area. The company then dispatches a mobile car wash to a customer's home, office, or other location for an on-site car wash. Cornerstone OnDemand said the new product uses machine learning and Cornerstone's data set, to help companies better recruit, train, and manage people. Pricing on the new tool was not announced. Cornerstone said the new tool revolves around two dahboard products, which provide insight into employee compliance training and compliance risk, and one focused on identifying high performers in a company for filling open positions. Cornerstone OnDemand is led by founder and CEO Adam Miller. Orexigen Gets $22M From Partners ---- San Diego-based biopharmaceuticals developer Orexigen Therapeutics, which is developing treatments for obesity, reported receiving a total of $22M from two different partners. Orexigen ssaid it hass received $15M from partner Takeda Pharmaceuticals, the first of three milestone payments to the company, and $7M from Kwang Dong Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.. Both companies are partnered with Orexigen on marketing and other efforts. Orexigen is led by CEO Mike Narachi. A new, LA-based dating app developer, InviteUp sure thinks so. InviteUp recently launched in the Los Angeles area, and lets users connect at local restaurants, coffee shops, bars, or through local activities and venues--all aimed at getting to a real, live date. InviteUp said it was created by Avi and Mitch Kahan, who are local real estate and restaurant entrepreneurs, and is trying to respond to "tinder-fatigue". According to Reuters, Citrix is in the midst of a last-ditch attempt to sell the entire company as a whole, before selling off individual assets of the company--and in particular, its GoToMeeting and other GoTo products. GoToMeeting, GoToAssist, GoToMyPC, and other related products are all run out of the Santa Barbara, Citrix Online business.
