Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. The Other Art Fair is based in London. According to Demand Media, the acquisition will complements its online art gallery marketplace, Saatchi Art, allowing Demand Media's buyers the the ability to purchase art from emerging artists from across the globe. The company said The Other Art Fair has a large following in the UK, Australia, and internationally. The Other Art Fair will continue to be headquartered in London and will continue to be led by founder Ryan Stanier. Demand Media is led by Sean Moriarty. Mad Catz Interactive Sells Saitek To Logitech ---- San Diego-based Mad Catz Interactive has sold off its Saitek flight and space simulation game controllers to Logitech, the two said last week. The deal was worth $13M in cash. According to Logitech, the deal will complement its existing portfolio of Logitech G gaming products. Logitech said the deal is not considered material to its quarterly or full year financial results. Ignyta, EORTC In Collaboration Deal ---- San Diego-based biotechnology developer Ignyta, and the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) said this morning that the two are in a new collaboration deal, will Ignyta will serve as a diagnostic laboratory performing fusion testing for EORTC's SPECTA (Screening Patients for Efficient Clinical Trial Access) initiative. Financial impact of the deal were not announced. The collaboration is aimed at improving the effectiveness of treating cancer patients. EORTC focuses on patients with colorectal, brain, lung, melanoma and rare cancers. MaxLinear Launches New Optical Driver ---- Carlsbad-based MaxLinear, which develops radio frequency and mixed signal semiconductors, said this morning that it has launched a new product aimed at the long haul optical network market. MaxLinear said it has launched the MxL9207, a quad-channel Lithium Niobate (LiNbO3) Mach-Zehnder (MZ) modulator driver for next-generation 100Gbps optical DWDM coherent systems. The company said the new device is sampling now, and will be in production in Q4 of 2016. MaxLinear said the component is being evaluated by "leading" telecommunication equipment OEMS for use in their products. Ligand, TeneBio in Licensing Deal ---- San Diego-based Ligand Pharmaceuticals announced on Friday that it has entered into a worldwide license agreement with TeneoBio, covering the use of its OmniFlic antibody technology to discover fully human bispecific antibodies to be developed for the treatment of various diseases. The company said the initial focus will be on cancer, autoimmunity, and infectious diseases. Financial terms of the licensing deal wer enot announced. Ligand said the deal will provide it with platform access payments, sublicensing fees, milestone payments and royalties. Everbridge Raises $90M In IPO, Sees Pop On Market Debut ---- Everbridge, a developer of emergency notification tools which was founded and still has major operations in both Glendale and Pasadena, has had an IPO, raising $90M for the company and marking another major, SoCal linked technology startup exit in what has been a busy year for deals.
