social networking giant Facebook announced this morning that the two will
provide high speed Internet to communities in rural Mexico who lack
reliable internet or have no connectivity at all. According to the two, the

A new, Los Angeles startup--Elves--said this week that it has launched a
new service, aimed at helping users tackle travel booking, using both
artificial intelligence and real human beings. According to Elves, it has
just launched an app and booking platform, which lets travelers book and
change flights via "real, human" travel companions backed by AI technology.

to potential employers, has been acquired by educational software provider
Instructure, the two announced late Tuesday. Financial details of the

Hawthorne-based SpaceX has scored $297M more in a launch contract from the
U.S. Air Force, the launch three new missions into space. According to the
Air Force Space and Missle Systems Center, SpaceX won one of two Expendable
Launch Vehicle (EELV) launch services contracts, worth a total of $297M.
The contract is for the delivery of three, Air Force missions--the
AFSPC-44, NROL-85, and NROL-87 missions, into space. The Air Force also

Camarillo-based aircraft startup Sabrewing Aircraft Company, which says it
is developing large, un-manned vertical take off and landing (VTOL) cargo
carrying drones, said on Tuesday that it has received over $2M in a funding
round. The funding came from the Drone Fund, Idaten Ventures, and others.
According to the company, the lead investor on the funding was The Drone

said on Monday that it has raised $2.5M in a seed funding, which included
