Online finance and lending site SoFi is taking the naming rights to the new
stadium which will house the Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams,
according to the LA Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park
(Hollywood Park) and SoFi. According to the two, they are in a 20-year
agreement which will make the new stadium SoFi Stadium, which is opening in
2020 in Hollywood Park. Financial details of the naming deal were not

*Qualcomm Buys Remainder Of RF360 Holdings*

San Diego-based Qualcomm says it has acquired the remaining interest in RF
Holdings Singapore Pte., Ltd., the 5G joint venture it has with TDK
Corporation. Qualcomm said that TDK Electronics' remaining interest in the
joint venture had been valued at $1.15 billion in August of 2019, but that
the total purchase price for the rest of RF360 Holdings will be

*Los Angeles Approves Deal For Massive Solar, Battery Plant In Mojave*

The City of Los Angeles has approved a massive, solar-and-battery in the
Mojave Desert, which is expected to meet 6 to 7 percent of the city's
electricity needs--including being able to supply power for four hours each
night from a massive bank of batteries. The new project, which was approved
last week, will supply the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power with
up to 400MW of clean energy, with enough capacity to store 300MW/1200Mwh of

Irvine-based Spireon, a provider of fleet telematics and vehicle tracking
and data, has linked with data warehousing provider Snowflake, the two said
this morning. The two said the big data and data sharing partnership will
allow clients of Spireon's FleetLocate fleet and asset intelligence product

*Uber Pulls JUMP Scooters From San Diego*

Uber has pulled the on-demand JUMP scooters it runs in San Diego from the
city this week, over frustration over the city's new rules over dockless
scooters, which include permits, fees, and data sharing requirements. Those
new rules--which include a fixed fee over around $5000 and per-scooter
charges of around $150 per device--is an attempt by San Diego to rein in

The Walt Disney Studios, in Burbank, and technology giant Microsoft Corp.
are in a new deal where the two will work together, where Disney will work
with Microsoft on ways to create, produce and distribute content on the
Microsoft Azure cloud platform, the companies announced on Friday morning.
According to the companies, they are in a five year "innovation
partnership" to develop 'scene-to-screen' content workflows, which will
