Sprint downloads were faster. Verizon uploads were
faster. The winner depends on your needs. Using typical office
applications, you'd never feel the difference between Sprint and
Verizon.
For myself, I use Sprint because where I need service,
Verizon has no coverage. Where I need it, Sprint has better
coverage.
I also have a T-Mobile PDA (MDA) beacuse I can travel out
of the country and need to roam. I can use this device in Europe and use it as
the "modem" for my laptop.
It depends on your needs. Pick the service that works for
you, your needs, location and travel habits.

So, can it be said that the Verizon system is the one to have?

Subject: [SOCALWUG] Verizon the winner, but what else can they do?
I know that their coverage is really good - I live in an area where there are no freeways and very poor cellular coverage for the other providers and Verizon works flawlessly.
Is it possible to use blue tooth from the cellphone to the laptop and get Verizon to provide the ISP connection for straight air-time charges?

Sprint was fastest with download speeds maxing just over 1 megabit. Uploads
around 110 kilobits.
Verizon maxing out above 800 kilobits. Uploads around 120 kilobits.
Verizon's upload speeds were always the fastest.
T-Mobile EDGE never quite reached 200 kilobits.
One attendee clocked 33 kilobits on his Cingular PDA.
