I'm curious, have any of you done a WD of the new muni-WiFi network in the
city of Anaheim. I have a close friend who was my ex co-worker while at AT&T
Wireless and now he works with Tropos Networks. But he's been so swamped
lately that he hasn't been able to give me some of his NS coverage results
so that I won't have to do it on my own. Sorry, I'm lazy to drive around
with my heavy gear and I found my little key-op (ZyXtel AG-22EH) just
doesn't cut it.

So if any of you have any coverage results I am definitely all ears!

Coverage claims, especially in rural mountain areas, are estimates at best
with each carrier having very different results. Depending on your needs, it
can help to find out from the locals which carrier covers which areas. I've
surprised many when I use my phone in the forest (just outside of Lake
Arrowhead) where Verizon, T-Mobile and Cingular fail. My Sprint EVDO cards
works there as well, but it falls back to the slower speed.
