The Westside, especially Marina Del Rey/Mar Vista, is in "boomtown" mode right now. New apartments are sprouting up everywhere.
One of my coworkers just moved into a fresh new 3-bdroom apartment. Rent is (GASP) $3650/month. I am also look for something on the Westside and the only viable option is to do a 2-bdroom and get a roommate. I called one new apartment that is going up on Venice (by Natalee Thai) and they wanted $1800 for a studio!
