Come on, Frank - Don't just say "...I usually bring the big antennas..." let us know where to find and what they are! I for one, think it is time to "go mobile" when camping.
Gotta have an external RF port on the laptop, but mine has internal WiFi (Gateway Swivel) so would you use an inductive coupling system for the 19+ db external? Verizon has yucky EVDO, so WiFi from KOA's (free) and many other places along the freeway/highway are a good source, but as far as "right in the campground" I would think that most places (private) have good WiFi now. Anyway, I still have to set up the motor home with the "big gun" to distribute around the campsite - probably Cat5 wires. Field Day is coming too!
