You should run for office. You would fit in with the rest of the council who
don't give a crap about the valley. LA PROPER? Get over it!

Maybe this makes sense to everyone, but me... Why is this 'initiative' for
LOS ANGELES being held all the way out in Van Nuys??? Who, in Van Nuys,
cares about what happens in LA proper?

I like the idea of LA jumping on the WiFi wagon, but this seems like a poor
start.

Sorry for the rant.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa And Council Member Tony Cardenas Invite You
to Attend LA WiFi Iniitiative Town Hall Meetings

HOSTED BY CITY OF LOS ANGELES

Wireless technology is increasingly being used by cities across the
nation in innovative and creative ways for such things as improving
citizen access to government services, helping cities operate more
efficiently, creating a stronger sense of community, and providing
more options for wireless access to the Internet. In recognizing the
potential benefits of advanced wireless networks for Los Angeles,
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Council Member Tony Cardenas introduced
the LA WiFi Initiative with a goal of connecting Los Angeles
residents, businesses and visitors to the global community. The City
is currently conducting a feasibility study to explore the needs,
interests and viability of developing a wireless network throughout
the City. As part of the study, City staff would like to meet and hear
from the residents in order to gauge levels of community interest from
Los Angeles residents and businesses. Don't miss the opportunity to
participate in these Town Hall meetings and provide your input to City
staff:
