I do have Statics IP both at home and at work. On the linksys router it just allows me to enable both ipsec and pptp. but i dont see that on my SMC barricade 7004AWBR. what do i set on this router? are you familiar with it?

You could setup a PPTP server at work and use the PPTP client on Windows
2k. You could use IPSEC. Both of these are included in Windows 2k. There
are many KB Articles on configuring these at http://www.microsoft.com

NA, the router cannot this. You'll need to bypass the router somehow. Do
you have stati! c IP addresses from your ISP.

Allow IPSEC pass-through. These are not restricted to wireless. The same
setup goes for wired. Search around http://www.microsoft.com for it's VPN
