I would like to have my GPS transmit it's location
to me remotely. For example, Hook my GPS to my laptop (typical wardriving
setup), connect to the Internet using my Sprint Phone, and somehow transmit the
data to my home computer via the Internet. This is incredibly simple in
theory, but where would I find software to do this?
The software would have to take incoming serial
data on the laptop/PDA, forward it to my home via the Internet, and the home
computer would have to translate these packets into data that seems to be coming
from the Serial port for Mapping software to accept it.
The end result would be a live tracking map showing
the location of the roaming GPS device.
