Why off-list? It would seem that this list is well-suited as the
development forum for projects like these. Probably most here are
interested in the proceedings even if they are not able to contribute.
Could you amplify a bit on some of these projects please? What
distinguishes a LAN from a WAN? What is "long distance"? Are you
focussed on open standards solutions like 802.11 or considering
proprietary solutions as well?
