The linksys WUSB11 ver 2.6 uses RFMD's baseband processor and ATMEL's MAC controller. All other versions have different chipset for MAC and baseband chips, hence different drivers for the OS are required.

Tivo supports wireless networking using a USB adapter. I tried 6 adapters

to be a version 2.8 which does not work.
Tivo runs a Linux OS and automatically sends software updates month or so.
I was told to wait "a month or two" for the next update that will support
the Linksys v 2.8. I guess they are different enough to need different
software.
